St George will win the NRL final this year, they have had a few close calls, but their team is so solid, and their coach is a genius, I am not sure what they are paying, but it is good money what ever it is. Melbourne are the only other good team in the championship this year, and they would need a home semi and final to win it, that isn’t even possible, St George being a Sydney team will get the home final no matter what. They win.

South Africa will win the Tri Nations, not because they have won three games already, because they were home games and are expected to win them anyway, but the All Blacks are very average this season,a nd Aussie are in a program aimed at the next World Cup. Easy money, should have lumped on before the Tri Nations started, but not too late.

Real Madrid will win the Champions league, once Kaka and Ronaldo learn to feed off each other, other defenses will be in a total spin, set play free kicks will be a nightmare for opposition goal keepers and seriously no team will be able to score enough goals in a game to out score them. It may take half a season to really get hot, but look out after Christmas.

Obviously the English Premiership is a two horse race again, i can’t decide who I like to win it, Liverpool will not, they gave up some good players already, they have the best striker on the planet and one of the best central halves, but that is where their team ends, they will be 3rd. Man Utd have lost so much in Ronaldo, Owen is just average for such a high class team, can’t believe they will be relying on Owen and Berbatov to score their goals, a bit of a joke really. But again a genius manager and a great defense will lead Man Utd to the title, but not a European title.

The Yankees will win the World Series, they seem not to handle Boston very well this year, but looking at their team, they have it in all departments, and in a playoff series they are the team I would want to put my life behind. The best 3 and 4 in baseball, with stellar 1-3 starters and a premium closer.

St Kilda will win the AFL, no explanation needed, they are simply better this season.

I have read so much about Armstrong possibly beating him this year, please, if I was rich I would lay Armstrong all day at $4.4, this is such a sure thing. Contador will win for many years to come. It was such a pity his team wasn’t invited to race last year.

By the way, Cavendish will win the Green jersey.

Rafael Nadal has to be crowned the Greatest of all time, he is only 22 but absolutely owns Roger Federer on all surfaces now. I don’t think many people were arguing about Federer’s world’s greatest crown, and he is still better than everyone else, so it isn’t like Nadal has just stepped into an old man’s spot.

On clay he is unbeatable, on Grass he is close to unbeatable, and now on the hard court he dominated. in my mind there is no argument, there is not one player from the history of the game that could have played Nadal on all 4 grand slam surfaces and won half of them even.

Long live Nadal, congratulations to him, he is such a good guy, so humble, it’d be great if American sports people could learn something about being a popular champion as Nadal and Federer are.
